Facilities
Our single-site laboratory, located on a 25-acre campus that includes three modern facilities with a total of 225,000 square feet of space, is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and instrumentation.

Our facility features include:
- Centralized sample receipt locations that facilitate sample processing so laboratory groups have access to samples soon after their arrival.
- A unique state-of-the-art sample automated sample storage system (ASRS) for maximum sample security and efficient sample handling.
- Operational isolation areas and dedicated heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems that reduce the presence of interfering laboratory contaminants.
- Dedicated, negative pressure laboratories for all organic extraction work, to restrict solvent contamination.
- Positive pressure GC and GC/MS Volatile laboratories to eliminate interferences and ensure that your data is accurate and reliable.
- Bulk solvent delivery fleet involving 52-L and 215-L refillable stainless steel containers for all high-use solvents used in our Organic Extraction laboratory. Our custom design ensures better product consistency, stability, and lot integrity.

Automated Sample Retrieval System (ASRS)
Lancaster Labs has the only automated sample storage system (ASRS) in an environmental laboratory. The system combines robotic cranes, carousels, computers, and sample bar coding to allow for detailed and controlled sample tracking, and quick sample retrieval to speed the laboratory testing process. Monitoring systems that continuously record temperature and other environmental parameters protect the ASRS. An alarm sounds whenever conditions are outside acceptable ranges. To further maintain sample integrity the ASRS is access-controlled and only a team of dedicated storage staff handle sample processing.
The ASRS has a capacity of about 64,000 samples.
Why Lancaster Laboratories?
- Our single location ensures that clients receive a consistent level of quality and service and greater sample capacity and sample handling security.
- Customers receive the highest level of sample security and storage capabilities through our ASRS system.
- Through custom design of laboratories, we have the ability to increase capacity, and investment in the newest instrumentation to meet the changing needs of our clients
